One hour. A month of emails.

Every email I sent recently came from a single one-hour coaching call.

The Do Not Disturb switch, the Lego bricks, the Evergreen Engine, the Bot-Proof Poll, all of them.

Four ideas from that one hour call led to four unique emails sharing the lessons I teach my clients.

For years I've struggled to come up with newsletter ideas, but the answer was staring me right in the face. I know I'm not the only one who struggles with this.

I hear all the time that the hard part of writing a newsletter is coming up with ideas of what to write about, blocking off creative time, drafting the content calendar, or batching a month's worth of broadcasts in a weekend.

But creating content was never really the hard part. I was creating it every single day and letting it fade away instead of using it.

Every coaching call, every client question, every "wait, how do I XYZ..." was a newsletter topic staring me right in the face that I was apparently too dumb to notice.

So here's the system I actually run now:

  1. Record my coaching calls (I use Fathom to do this automatically)
  2. Pull the transcript and hunt for the moments when a client got stuck, or lit up
  3. Turn each moment into an idea to write about
  4. Use Claude to draft each email in my voice, tweak until it's close
  5. Use Kit's MCP to upload my draft for final edits and get it ready to schedule.

One hour of talking easily becomes a month of emails.

I didn't have to invent a single topic, sit around brainstorming, or stare at a blank page. Instead, my client handed me every idea by asking real questions.

Now, full honesty, because I hate BS

My AI assistant is trained on over a decade of my own writing to get the first drafts down.

It gets me maybe 80% of the way, but the last 20% is all me. I edit ruthlessly, check the quotes against the transcript, and make sure that it's really from my heart. (I also update my voice file after every edit)

So every email is still 100% me, every time, and it's no different than if I had a copywriter on staff.

That's my whole newsletter content flywheel:

  • Do the work you're already doing,
  • Capture it instead of losing it,
  • Reuse what's working,
  • Rinse and repeat.

So before you sit down next time to "come up with" your next email, look backward instead, and ask, "What did you already say this week that someone needed to hear?"

If you've been sitting on the fence about whether Kit coaching is even right for you, let's just talk. I've opened up a few free coaching spots on my calendar to just serve the people who actually take the time to read these emails.

We'll figure out together whether this is a fit. No pitch, no pressure, and if it's not right for you, I'll tell you straight out.

Here's to getting your process streamlined!

P.S. Yes...even this email started as a conversation. Funny how that works.
